14:00 until 17:00
Where is the panic?
Did it come on suddenly or have you been panicking a while now?
Can you describe the character of the panic?
Anything makes it better or worse?
On a scale of 1 to 10 how ready are your for the OSCE’s???
On March 16th SurgSoc will be putting on a mock OSCE (MOSCE) for MED1 and GEM1 students. We will be using the same format as the real OSCE’s so you can familiarize yourselves with the system. This will be a great opportunity to get some extra practice and get feedback/advice from our correctors. We do not know what stations will come up on your real OSCE but we have received some guidance from The Medical School as to which stations we should put emphasis on.
2 back to back sessions on Friday the 16th of March.
We can facilitate 144 students, organizing this is a huge undertaking and requires over 50 volunteers. Unfortunately we do not have the manpower to offer places to all GEM1 and MED1 students.
Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, registration will commence at 14:15 in room 1.01. The MOSCE will start 15:00 – 16:00 and 16:15 – 17:15.
6 Stations (history, exam, 1st aid)! 1minute to read the instructions.
7 minutes to do the station, 2 minutes feedback and advice.
You will be allocated in groups of 3. Everyone will get hands on experience on 2 stations and everyone will get to see 6 stations and listen to all the advice and feedback from the correctors.
Bring your stethoscopes and a watch!
PS. Don’t forget to drop by our next event WinS!
